Line Bites OpenStreetMap data

The files under /api/osm/ contain data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, and are made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. See openstreetmap.org/copyright.

How they are made

refresh-osm.mjs asks the Overpass API (overpass-api.de) for named food & drink places (restaurants, cafés, bars, bakeries, breweries, markets, liquor and wine stores) around each city's transit stations, a few map tiles a day, keeps those within 1.5 km of a station, and rebuilds a city's file about once a week. Nothing is added from other sources and nothing else is changed; each file is the whole extract, free to download.

The station positions only select the area. They come from the transit operators' public GTFS feeds as bundled in the Line Bites app, are not OpenStreetMap data, and are not published here.
